I'm Joe. People ask me why I have a
home
page. Well, at first I did it just to learn how. Now I use it as a
jumping off point for other stuff I do on the 'net. I help a lot of
people with their computers, and a web page is
handy for making files and information available to people anywhere in the
world. I haven't spent much time updating this page, so it's lame!
Click here to send mail to me addressed to

Here are a few of my favorite web sites:
ESPN's Sportszone.
MapBlast, a truly awesome map
site. You give it an address, it gives you a map.
Here are some links to try out.
I work in Manufacturing Engineering at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp in
Savannah, Ga. We are in production of the new Gulfstream V. It has
recently set several speed and distance records and is clearly the best!
Click here for a picture of GV #1
on the ramp.
Sleek, huh? It's fast too.
This baby's got engines that'll make Tim Allen do that growl thing he
does! The GV was recently awarded the Robert J.
Collier trophy for 1997 by the National Aeronautic Association.
Helpful stuff:
I recommend this package so often to people I finally stuck it here. It's
SECGP115.ZIP [32k], and it's
a security program for Windows 3.X. It allows an administrator (or parent)
to
establish passwords for program groups.
Here's a little program I run
before installing any Windows 3.x software on my machine. It reports what
changes were made to my system.
It's
INST_ALL.ZIP [35K] and I highly recommend it to keep your system
clean. You can also read my Installation Guidelines
for tips on keeping your system uncluttered.
Other helpful files:
Wish you had one of those multimedia PCs with a sound card and
stereo speakers? While you're saving up for it, you can at least get some
of those Windows sounds to work on your regular PC speaker. Use the
Microsoft (tm)
SPEAK.EXE
[22K]- speaker driver to allow .wav sound files
to be played through your standard PC speaker. If you have trouble getting
this to work, follow these instructions, which are hopefully a little clearer
than the ones that come with it! No offense intended, Microsoft.
CODERS.ZIP [94k] - a
package of three commonly used code / decode packages (UU, Base64,
Binhex) with brief
instructions.
You'll need PKUNZIP to extract the .zip files here. You can download this
from the PKWARE(R) homepage. I use
the DOS version (pkz204g.exe - it's on the Download link off Pkware's
main page) because it works with both DOS and Windows.
Here's my
Look, Ma, No Mouse page of keyboard shortcuts.
Here's a file someone wanted a copy of. Click to download MPACK.ZIP. I leave it here
so I can change the file name when someone
wants a different file. That way I don't have to recode this part of my page.
